Valeriya Chernova
My research interest lies in study of one of the least-studied confessional groups in Switzerland - Russian Orthodox Christian communities in Switzerland – their cultural and religious functions. The study of Russian Orthodox parishes and their functions will shed light on daily work of these religious institutions, their role in preserving of cultural identity of Russian-speaking immigrants in Switzerland, as well as will give understanding of worldview and religiosity of Russian Orthodox parish members.
